Tim and Christe

Rev. Timothy King is credentialled as a Licensed Pastor with the Evangelical Congregational Church (www.eccenter.com) where he has served as a Church Planter since 2015. He has helped plant The Next Step EC Church in York, PA and Christ House EC Church (www.christhouse.church) in Ephrata, PA where he currently serves. Prior to that Tim had served as Associate Pastor and various other roles for Iglesia Cristiana de York (another EC Church plant) since around 2008. Tim also serves as Director of Ministries for DRAMA Ministry (www.dramateam.org) a street evangelism and youth discipleship ministry where he has been in leadership since its founding in 2001. DRAMA has allowed Tim to partner with Evangelical churches from coast to coast here in the US and internationally in Grenada, Colombia, the United Kingdom and Nepal – all with a discipleship focus and evangelistic mission.

Tim’s dominant drives in ministry are the authority of Scripture, the centrality of the biblical Gospel and the call to Christian discipleship. As such he has consulted with churches and spoken frequently at conferences on topics related to discipleship in the Gospels, taught numerous workshops on Bible study methods and equipped church mission teams with evangelistic material.

Since July 14, 2018 Tim has been wed to his beloved Christe who originally hails from the Philippines. Together they express a multicultural and vibrant love of Jesus and His body.

Christe’s background is in teaching (math) and has worked several years in the corporate sector of Singapore. Christe’s journey to Christ was longer, having begun as a Catholic and finding the fullness of grace available in the Gospel later in life through Protestant friends and small groups. She has a unique compassion for people and fervor for the Gospel born out of her own story of redemption. She has often referred to evangelism as simply “meeting new friends” since she knows the adopting power of the love and grace of Jesus.

Christe spends much of her time playing music (piano, drums and singing), taking pictures and getting ready for their first child, due January 3, 2022.
